According to SamMobile, the carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ are now receiving the December security update in the US. The new update comes with firmware version N97xUSQS7FUKA and is currently available on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile’s networks. But it should now be just a matter of time before the rollout hits units on other carriers as well. Meanwhile, outside of the US, the December update has been spotted for the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The new firmware version for the phone in these markets is N976QXXS5FUK4. You can expect this update to be available widely across the world in the coming days. As far as the contents are concerned, we are in as much darkness as you. Samsung has yet to publish the updated monthly security bulletin for December 2021. You can expect fixes for a few dozen privacy and security issues of varying severity from the Korean giant as well as Google. Don’t be hopeful of any new features though. Everything new that Samsung has to offer will now come as part of the One UI 4.0 update. The company is currently beta testing the latest version of its custom Android skin for the Galaxy Nte 10 series. It’s also beta testing the new software for the Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Z Flip, and the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Flip 3 have already received the One UI 4.0 stable update.
December security update released to the Galaxy Note 10 series
Released in the second half of 2019, the Galaxy Note 10 series run Android 9 Pie out of the box. The devices have since received the Android 10 and Android 11 updates from Samsung. They will soon receive Android 12 as well, in the form of the One UI 4.0 update. Meanwhile, the company has released the December security update to the 2019 flagships.
