The image shared by OnePlus, which you can see above, shows a square-shaped watch with rounded edges and corners. We can see a button on the right which may also double up as a navigation crown. The lugs connecting the strap are pretty hefty while the bezels are relatively thick too. The strap itself appears to be a simple black silicone band. The watch’s body may have a shiny grey finish. That’s pretty much all we can make from OnePlus’ teaser for the Nord Watch. But previous leaks and rumors have revealed quite a lot about the upcoming smartwatch. The company reportedly plans to offer the device in multiple models featuring both circular and square screens. They will come in various sizes and designs. Perhaps we may get different names too, with different sets of specs and features. Unfortunately, not much is known about the features the Nord Watch will offer. It will boast Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. The aforementioned web page suggests various activity tracking features and health monitoring, including heart rate and women’s menstrual cycle. OnePlus says it will reveal one key detail about the new smartwatch every two days starting tomorrow, September 20, through September 28. The watch itself may debut early next month. Or maybe at the end of this month. We shall see.

The OnePlus Nord Watch should be an affordable smartwatch

OnePlus has made only one smartwatch so far and it didn’t do its best work there. The first-gen OnePlus Watch was pretty mediocre with several important features missing. It doesn’t even qualify as a dedicated fitness band. The device sits somewhere in between leaving a lot to be desired. The company has to set things right for its reputation as a smartwatch maker and the upcoming Nord Watch is a golden opportunity. Considering it’s a Nord series device, we are expecting an affordable yet feature-packed product. Hopefully, OnePlus wouldn’t disappoint this time around. We will let you know when the Nord Watch is official.
