The thing with the Apex Pro is that it’s a full size keyboard. Which for many is either going to be bigger than they prefer or take up too much space where they have little to spare. The Apex Pro Mini doesn’t forfeit much
Since this is a 60% keyboard though, there are some concessions. Keys are crammed tighter together to account for that smaller footprint. And although not really missing much in terms of keys, functions are doubled up. Take the arrow keys for example. You typically find these on the right side of a TKL or full size keyboard. Now they’re doubled up with the WASD keys. Though this is admittedly a better option than on some other 60% keyboards which double them up on the right. Since your fingers are probably sitting on the WASD keys anyway. Speaking of keys, this is actually one of the areas where SteelSeries has made a big improvement. Both versions of the keyboard feature the company’s OmniPoint 2.0 switches. These come with even faster actuation than the original version of the switches that launched on the Apex Pro. They also feature dual action key presses. Allowing you to be more efficient with your plays by minimizing the amount of keys you have to hit for actions in games.
